Thank you for exploring my work. If you’ve reached this point, my images have likely sparked your interest and you’d like to know more about who I am and how I can help bring your project’s story to life through photography.
My path to architectural photography began with a 40+ year career as a licensed architect in the Pacific Northwest. What started as a creative pursuit evolved into a professional passion when the firm I work with in Tacoma, Washington, invited me to photograph several projects for their marketing, competition, and publication needs.
When we collaborate, I take the time to truly understand your project and work closely with you to craft a thoughtful approach for capturing its essence. Each assignment is unique — some are straightforward, while others call for site visits and detailed coordination. No matter the complexity, my goal remains the same: to deliver a collection of images that authentically tell the story of your design.
The art of architectural photography lies in balancing technical precision, artistic vision, and an architect’s understanding of space and form. It requires careful attention to composition, lighting, and detail, combined with the ability to reveal the character and atmosphere of a place in a visually compelling way. Patience, timing, and an intuitive sense of narrative allow each image to communicate not only the physical qualities of a structure but also its emotional and cultural resonance.
If you have a project you’d like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
